League Guidelines
- We are an open league, meaning any person of any gender can play any position.
- All games should start promptly at 7:15.
- Games are 8 ends long, with a buzzer sounding at 8:55. The buzzer signifies that you finish the end you are playing, and play one more. As such, please keep your pace-of-play in mind. Be ready to throw when it is your turn, and don't take over 2 minutes discussing shot selection.
- We use the 5 rock-rule, in accordance with the Calgary Curling Club's league rules. This means that any rock in the free-guard zone may not be removed until AFTER the fifth rock of the end has been delivered.
- Please email wins/losses to calgarycouplescurling@gmail.com after each game.
- The league is NOT competition-based even though we keep score and track wins and losses. This is mostly in keeping with tradition, as we have a real boat-anchor of a trophy to award at the end of the season to the first-place team.
- We follow all other Curling Canada rules and regulations.
